Warrington Athletic Club's James Gladman took a rest from hurdling when he travelled to Ghent in Belgium to compete in the Flanders Cup Athletics meeting on Saturday 3rd August running in the 200 metres. Seven Warrington Athletic Club young athletes took part in the innaugural John Gerrard Memorial Meeting staged by Leigh Harriers at their track at the New Madely Park Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 27th July. James Webster ran for England last night at the Welsh Athletics International in Cardiff. The event was a competition for National senior and Under 20 teams from Wales, Scotland and England. James finished sixth in the final of the 400m hurdles in a time of 53.76 seconds.
