The Cheshire Schools Championships were held at Macclesfield on Saturday 10th June and Warrington Athletic Club athletes collected 9 Gold, 9 Silver, 3 Bronze medals, one Championship Best and 18 personal best performances. Five Warrington Athletic Club athletes took place in the Northern Championships over the weekend of 10/11th June at Sportcity Manchester winning one Gold and one Silver Medal. Warrington Athletic Club's Julie Hicken returned after a period out of competition travelling to Nuneaton to compete as a guest in the Midland Masters Athletic Championships and returned with two medals. She won the over 50 Gold in the 200 metres in 32,2 seconds and Silver in the 100 metres with 15.2 seconds.  Read More

Three Warrington Athletic Club runners took part in the Birchwood Brook 5 Kilometres race on Friday 2nd June with Steve Watmough finishing 5th in 17 minutes 25 seconds to take the 1st over 50 prize. Jack Green continued his good form at the Bowden 5 Kilometres Road Race on Thursday 8th June as he finished in 16 minutes 38 seconds with Tom Mills taking 11th place in 17 minutes 42 seconds and Jack's dad Andy finishing in 13th place in 17 minutes 47 seconds to take first place in the over 50 age group.
