James Gladman Warrington Athletic Club's 110 metres hurdler lined up in lane 9 in his heat in the Sainsbury Anniversary Games at The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium London on 27th July. As often happens at these events there were withdrawals from the original entry so James was taking on David Oliver (2008 Olympic Bronze Medallist), Thomas Martinot-Lagarde (French Champion), Ryan Wilson (USA Champion), Lawrence Clarke (2010 Commonwealth Bronze Medallist),Orlando Ortega (6th 2013 Olympic Final), Koen Smet (European under 23 Silver Medallist) and top Czech hurdler Martin Mazac. As he was introduced to the crowd James proudly showed off his Warrington Athletic Club vest. James got a good start and and ran a very good race although not getting near to qualifying for the final eventually finishing in 7th place with Ortega hitting a hurdle hard and falling.
