The second British Athletics Cross Challenge meeting incorporating the trials for the European Cross Country Championships was held at Sefton Park Liverpool on Saturday 23rd November over the usual course with 15 Warrington Athletics Club athletes taking part. Top performance of the day came from Harriet Knowles-Jones in the combined under 17-under 20 women's race. Harriet was always in the leading group from the start and battled all the way to the finish to eventually finish in 6th place in 15 minutes 04 seconds taking 2nd place in the under 17 event. Although finishing in 6th place Harriet is ineligible for the European Championships as she is too young but she may gain selection for the Junior race at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country in January the team for that will be selected on the 8th December. Also running were Alysha Goddard and Kiera Grady who finished in 43rd and 76th places in the under 17's in 17 minutes 16 seconds and 19 minutes 34 seconds respectively.
