Mason Trophy Inter County Schools Match 21st june 2014

Eleven Warrington Athletic Club athletes represented Cheshire Schools in the Mason Trophy Schools Inter County Match on Saturday 21st June with five setting new personal best times.In the girls events Melissa Boyer finished in 2nd place in the Junior girls 800 metres smashing her previous best time with 2 minutes 15.5 seconds.In the same age group Lauren Ferris improved her best time to 4 minutes 46,8 seconds as she finished in 4th place in the 1500 metres and Megan Kettle finished in 9th place in the Hammer with a throw of 24.72 metres.In the intermediate age group Carys McAulay won the 800 metres with a solo run winning by around 8 seconds in a new best time of 2 minutes 12.6 seconds which takes her to 11th in the UK lists and is the leading Scottish time.In the same age group Sarah McGrail won the 3000 metres in 10 minutes 18.1 seconds with Victoria Ramsbottom in 4th place in 10 minutes 52.8 seconds while in the 100 metres Eleanor Baker was 6th in a new best time of 12.6 seconds going under 13 seconds for the first time.
In the Boys events Fisayo Williamson-Taylor set a new best time in the Junior 100 metres with 11.3 seconds as he finished in 2nd place.In the Intermediate age group Daniel Evans won a tactical race over 1500 metres in 4 minutes 09.2 seconds while in the 800 metres Robert Dykes was 3rd in the B race in 2 minutes 00.8 seconds.In the B 100 metres hurdles Cameron Meakin won equalling his best time of 14.0 seconds.
