English under 15/17 Championships Bedford 30/31st August 2014

Two Warrington Athletic Club athletes travelled to Bedford for the English under15-under 17 Championships over the weekend of 30/31August.In the under 15 age group Fisayo Williamson-Taylor removed the oldest club record on the books when he ran in the 200 metres.with a personal best time of 23.61 seconds prior to his heat Fisayo destroyed that time finishing in 2nd place in the heat in 23.09 seconds.The previous record of 23.6 seconds was held jointly by John Harrison who ran the 100 metres at the 1970 Commonwealth Games and Peter Cornes and was set 50 years ago in 1964.In the Final Fisayo finished in 4th place just outside his new best time with 23.16 seconds.In the 100 metres Fisayo finished in 2nd place in his heat in 11.28 seconds before collecting the Bronze Medal in the Final with a time of 11.40 seconds.
In the under 17 Menís 100 metres Hurdles Cameron Meakin finished in 5th place in his heat recording 14.02 seconds but failed to progress to the final.
