Cross de Atapuerca Burgos Spain 16th November 2014

Harriet Knowles-Jones although she has represented England at Schools level made her her debut for the English National Junior Team at the Cross de Atapuerca in Burgos Spain on Sunday 16th November.From the gun the English team made the pace and soon Lydia Turner broke clear and ran out a superb winner in 13 minutes 07 seconds.Harriet was also running excellently vying for second place with a Spanish girl and eventually broke free to take the Silver Medal position in 13 minutes 25 seconds as the Spanish girl faded to finish in 6th place.The rest of the English Team Jennifer Nesbitt and Tessa McCormick came through to make it a clean sweep in 3rd and 4th places with 13 minutes 32 seconds and 13 minutes 47 seconds respectively and they won the team race easily.
