British Athletics Cross Challenge Sefton Park Liverpool 29th November 2014 including European Cross Country Championship Trials

The first round of the British Athletics Cross Challenge including the trials for the European Cross Country Championships took place on Saturday 29th November at Sefton Park Liverpool with 13 Warrington Athletic Club athletes taking part.In the under 13 Boys race Jordan Jones was the only runner from the club and he ran excellently to finish 20th in 11 minutes 12 seconds.In the under 15 boys Jack Stubbings ran well to finish in 25th place in 10 minutes 12 seconds and was followed home by Sam Rostron in 37th place and Luke Gamble in 46th place with times of 10 minutes 23 seconds and 10 minutes 29 seconds respectively.In the under 17 menís race Owen Lee finished in 76th place in 19 minutes 24 seconds and Matt Wigelsworth finished in 61st place in the under 20 Menís race in 22 minutes 10 seconds.The day was brought to a close for the men with the Senior race with Tom Jervis finishing in 100th place in 32 minutes 15 seconds.
In the Womenís events Harriet Knowles-Jones ran well to finish in 10th place in 15 minutes 14 seconds in the combined under 20/under 17 race which was the trial for the Junior team for the European Championships.Harriet was the Second under 17 runner to finish and was followed home by Katie Lowery in 30th place in 16 minutes 01 seconds,Jasmin Dobson 109th in 18 minutes 03 seconds and Kiera Grady 136th in 21 minutes 35 seconds.In the under 15 race Lauren Ferris was an excellent 14th in 11 minutes 23 seconds and Melissa Boyer was 25th in 11 minutes 39 seconds.
