North of England Cross Country Relays 17th October 2015 Graves Park Sheffield

Twenty seven Warrington Athletic Club runners ranging from under 11 to senior made the trip to Graves Park Sheffield for the North of England Cross Country Relays on Saturday 17th October.
The first age group to race were the under 17ís with the women starting first.On the first stage Melissa Boyer recorded 8 minutes 57 seconds handing over in 11th place to Victoria Ramsbottom who moved the team up to 9th place with a time of 9 minutes 16 seconds.The final stage was taken by Lauren Ferris who recorded 8 minutes 40 seconds to move into 8th place with a total time of 26 minutes 53 seconds.
In the menís race Daniel Fox ran well on the first stage to hand over in 19th place in 7 minutes 39 seconds to Jack Stubbings.Jack ran an excellent stage to move the team up into 6th place recording 7 minutes 17 seconds.The final stage was run by Luke Gamble who ran well to record 7 minutes 55 seconds finishing in 9th place with a total time of 22 minutes 51 seconds.
The next age group to race were the under 11ís with the girls first.The A team were led off by Eva Ferris who ran well to record 6 minutes 09 seconds in 16th place.Molly Wormald took over for the second stage and moved the team up to 11th place with an excellent run of 5 minutes 50 seconds.Maisie Bell took over for the final stage and held 11th place recording the same time of 6 minutes 09 seconds as Eva had on the first stage for a total time of 18 minutes 08 seconds.The B team were led off by Jasmine Jones who ran well to hand over in 17th place in 6 minutes 21 seconds to Lucie Davies.Lucie ran well to move up to 15th place with a time of 6 minutes 10 seconds.The final stage was taken by Lily Briscoe who recorded 6 minutes 27 seconds as she held on to 15th place in a total time of 18 minutes 58 seconds.
In the boys race Rhys Hopkins ran well on the first stage to hand over in 11th place with a time of 5 minutes 48 seconds.On the second stage Danny Hartland held 11th place with a strong run recording 5 minutes 57 seconds.The final stage was taken by Finlay Smith ran well to pass one runner but with 4 teams failing to field a final stage runner the team finished in 6th place as Finlay recorded a time of 6 minutes 13 seconds for a total time of 17 minutes 58 seconds.
In the under 13 girls race Ashley Nemits ran the first stage recording exactly 6 minutes to hand over in a excellent 4th place to Lucia Melon.Lucia recorded 6 minutes 46 seconds to hand over in 11th place.On the final stage Rebecca Nixon ran well recording 6 minutes 31 seconds to move the team up to 10th place in a total time of 19 minutes 17 seconds.
In the boys race Isaaq Ataullah ran well to hand over in 10th place with a time of 5 minutes 53 seconds.Joe Roberts ran well on the next stage recording 6 minutes 14 seconds to hand over in 9th place. Lucas Hayes took the final stage and recording the 7th fastest time of the race with 5 minutes 37 seconds moved the team up to 6th place at the finish in a total time of 17 minutes 44 seconds.
In the under 15 age group Jordan Jones in the boys race was the only runner from the club finishing in 14th place on the first stage with a time of 7 minutes 28 seconds.Due to injuries the team was incomplete.
In the Senior/Junior Womenís race under 20 star Harriet Knowles-Jones ran the first stage for an incomplete team and recorded the fastest time of the race as she won the stage with a time of 11 minutes 16 seconds.
The day was brought to a close by the Senior/Junior Menís race.On the first stage under 20 Matt Wigelsworth ran well to hand over in 18th in 11 minutes 01 seconds.On the next stage Veteran Nick Jones moved the team up to 17th place recording 11 minutes 20 seconds.Under 20 Chris Fance took over for the next stage and ran well to hold onto 17th place with a time of 11 minutes 36 seconds.On the final stage Daniel Richardson ran well to record 12 minutes 15 seconds crossing the line in 21st place but following the disqualification of Sheffield University A team who finished in 2nd place the official finishing place was 20th in a total time of 46 minutes 12 seconds.
