In the 4 x 1 Kilometre Relay following the withdrawal of Lynsey Sharp from the Scotland A Team Carys McAulay was called into the B team with Steph Twell moving up to the A Team. The Scotland A team of Cameron Boyek,Steph Twell Jake Wightman and Laura Muir stormed to victory to collect the Stewart Cup presented in respect of the wins in the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh of Ian Stewart (5000 metres) and Lachie Stewart (10000 metres).Meanwhile the B team following a good run from European under 23 bronze medallist at 1500 metres Neil Gourlay and a superb run by Commonwealth 800 metres semi-finalist Emily Dudgeon taking the team into second place behind the A team the baton was passed to the two youngest members.European under 20 1500 metres Champion Josh Kerr replacing Commonwealth Games 800 metres 6th placer Guy Learmonth took over but overreached himself trying to chase the A team and gradually dropped back in a very competitive race before handing over around 20 seconds adrift to Commonwealth Youth 800 metres Silver Medallist Carys the youngest runner in the race who ran well despite being isolated to bring the team home in 8th place.
