Warrington athletes perform well at our Open Meeting I 2nd April 2017

Warrington Athletic Club held their first open meeting at Victoria Park on Sunday 2nd April with almost 400 athletes taking part from under 9's to senior age groups.

Two club athletes recorded treble wins, Meg Corker won the under 13 girls 75 metres,70 metres hurdles and Long Jump with 10.6 seconds,11.8 seconds and 4.15 metres. Under 9 Luke Illidge won his 75, 150 and 600 metres recording 12.4 seconds, 25.1 seconds and 2 minutes 10.3 seconds.

Other wins for the club came from under 11 Joshua Van Schoor in the 600 metres with an excellent run of 1 minute 53.5 seconds, Olivia Baker under 17 Women 800 metres in 2 minutes 28.5 seconds, under 17's Cameron Duff in the 200 metres in 23.7 seconds, Thomas Baines in the 400 metres in 50.6 seconds and Josh Herrington in the High Jump with 1.80 metres. At under 17 Megan Kettle won the Hammer with a throw of 37.82 metres. Under 20's Cameron Meakin in the 200 metres and Jack Stubbings at 800 metres also won with 23.0 seconds and 2 minutes 01.3 seconds respectively, while Hannah Shaw won her 100 metres hurdles with 19.3 seconds.

All other club members competed well with many recording personal bests.
