Youth Development League in Warrington I 22nd April 2017

Warrington Athletic Club under 13s and under 15s took part in their first Youth Development League match of the season at Victoria Park Warrington on Saturday 22nd April with many achieving personal best performances.

All of the team performed well and were rewarded for their efforts by winning the match. As well as many achieving personal bests others were taking part in some events for the first time and recorded some excellent performances.

In the under13 girls Meg Corker was the top performer recording personal bests in winning the 70 metres hurdles (11.2 seconds), 75 metres (10.3 seconds) and Long Jump (4.40 metres) while Olivia Chamun won the A Javelin (13.34 metres) and B shot (5.00 metres) and Orla Gregory won the A 1200 metres (4 minutes 16.0 seconds) and Maisie Bell B 1200 metres (4 minutes 30.8 seconds).

in the under 15 girls 800 metres runner Ashley Nemits stepped down in distance to smash her 200 metres personal best with 27.2 seconds and won her 300 metres debut with a superb 42.5 seconds in the A race. In the B 300 metres Charlotte Stokes won with a time of 46.6 seconds and in the B 800 metres Emily Jackson also won with a new personal best time of 2 minutes 41.2 seconds.

In the under 13 boys wins were recorded by Dominiks Norviss in the A High Jump with a personal best of 1.20 metres. In B events Alex Lavery 800 metres (2 minutes 46.8 seconds), Jacob Cox 1500 metres (personal best 5 minutes 36.2 seconds) and Daniel Hartland Javelin (8.57 metres) were also winners.

In the under 15 boys Jack Garner was the only individual winner in the B 80 metres hurdles with a time of 13.4 seconds.
