Mason Trophy Inter County Schools Meeting 17th June 2017 Alexander Stadium Birmingham

Thirteen Warrington Athletic Club athletes took part in the Mason Trophy Inter County Schools Match at Alexander Stadium Birmingham on Saturday 17th June helping Cheshire to win the trophy.
In the Junior age group Ashley Nemits recorded 26.5 seconds in the girls 200 metres while Jack Garner recorded13.23 seconds in the boys 80 metres hurdles.
In the Intermediate age group top performance came from Tom Baines in the boys 400 metres winning in a new personal best time of 49.58 seconds and just missing the Club under 17 record of 49.5 seconds which has stood to Commonwealth athlete John Harrison since 1965.In the B race Tristan Hall recorded a new best time of 54.46 seconds.In the 100 and 200 metres Cameron Duff recorded times of 11.51 seconds and 23.23 seconds respectively with the 100 metres being a new best time.In the 3000 metres Joe Buckley was just outside his best time with 9 minutes 18.52 seconds.In the 100 metres hurdles Joe Williams was just outside his best time with 15.06 seconds while in the High Jump Josh Herrington finished in 4th place with a new personal best jump of 1.85 metres breaking his own club under 17 record.
In the girls events Chloe Mason recorded 44.95 seconds in the 300 metres while Amy Nuttal recorded 5 minutes 01.51 seconds in the 1500 metres and Rebecca Hardy equalled her best time in the 80 metres hurdles with 12.40 seconds.In the Hammer Megan Kettle threw 41.36 metres while Natasha Ryder achieved a new best performance with a throw of 31.75 metres.
