Trafford Grand Prix I Tuesday 15th August 2017

Seven Warrington Athletic Club athletes travelled to Longford Stadium Trafford for the latest edition of the Trafford Grand Prix series on Tuesday 15th August with five achieving personal best performances.

In the 1500 metres series in a mixed race under 20 Luke Gamble finished in 4th place in 4 minutes 09.28 seconds a new personal best while behind him in 12th place under 20 woman Harriet Knowles-Jones recorded 4 minutes 13.59 seconds to finally broke the time of 4 minutes 13.62 seconds set by her mother Jayne Knowles (former UK Champion) in 1993.In 15th place was Sam Rostron with a time of 4 minutes 21.67 seconds.

In the next 1500 metres race under 17 Joe Buckley took 11 seconds from his previous best time recording a new best of 4 minutes 18.53 seconds.

In the 800 metres series under 17 Jordan Jones set a new personal best time of 2 minutes 06.47 seconds as he finished 2nd in his race while Chris Fance was 7th in his race recording 2 minutes 00.64 seconds.

In the 3000 metres series Daniel Fox was the final runner from the club finishing in 8th place in his race recording a time of 9 minutes 17.92 seconds to improve his personal best by 16 seconds.
